Three infiltrators killed at LoC (Lead)

- Srinagar, Nov 3 (IANS) Security forces killed three separatist guerrillas and foiled an infiltartion bid early Tuesday in Tangdhar sector along the Line of Control (LoC) between India and Pakistan. A gunbattle that started then is still continuing, a defence spokesman said here.
“The infiltration bid was detected timely and foiled by the security forces and so far three militants have been killed in the ongoing operation,” the spokesman said.
The official said that troops noticed suspicious movement near the LoC in Kupwara district early Tuesday morning and challenged a group of infiltrators who opened fire at them.
“The operations are still continuing,” the spokesman added late Tuesday evening.
