Theron sued for PS10m for not wearing right watch!
October 4th, 2008 - 4:34 pm ICT by ANILondon, October 4 (ANI): Charlize Theron has been sued for 10 million pounds for sporting a Christian Dior timepiece rather than a Raymond Weil creation the company shes a brand ambassador of.
Following a breach of contract with the Swiss watchmakers, the firm had decided to sue the actress and her company, Denver and Delilah Films.
The company revealed that it paid the Oscar-winning star 1.5 million pound to be the face of its Shine range and expected her to wear one of the 4,000 pound watches at all public event.
They were appalled that the actress had turned up wearing a Dior creation instead at the US film festival.
She undercut our entire ad campaign, the Daily Star quoted Weils lawyer, David Jaraslowicz, as saying.
The Monster star was paid a whopping 100,000 pounds by Chopard to showcase its jewels at the 2006 Oscars, while Bafta paid a staggering 25,000 pounds for a similar purpose.
Meanwhile, revelation of such big-money freebies offered to Hollywoods stars has left some fuming politicians, battling the credit crunch, agitated.
