October 15th, 2008 - 8:13 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment ) New Delhi, Oct 15 (ANI): Atif, the alleged mastermind of the September 13 serial blasts in the national capital and was gunned down in a shootout last month, took admission in Jamia Millia University by allegedly using a fake degree certificate, said police.
According to the police, the 24-year-old Azamgarh youth allegedly submitted a B.Sc degree certificate from Allahabad University for taking admission in a post-graduation course in human rights at Jamia.
Allahabad University has confirmed that the graduation certificate used by Atif had not been issued by it.
“The Allahabad University authorities have informed us that no such student was enrolled there and so the certificate appears to be fake,” police said. (ANI)
