Ten injured in Pulwama grenade attacks
December 14th, 2010 - 9:57 pm ICT by IANSSrinagar, Dec 14 (IANS) Ten people, including two paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers and two forest employees, were injured in two separate grenade attacks in south Kashmir Pulwama district Tuesday.A senior police officer said separatist guerrillas tossed a grenade in Kakpora town, 30 km from capital Srinagar, in Pulwama district in the evening.
“The grenade exploded near the forest check post injuring two employees who were shifted to hospital for treatment,” the officer said.
The area was immediately surrounded by security forces for searches.
Earlier, eight people including two CRPF troopers were injured in a grenade explosion in the busy Pulwama town, 32 km from here.
The injured are being treated in various hospitals, police said.
No guerrilla group has yet claimed responsibility for Tuesday’s Pulwama blasts.
