Ten feared dead in a blast at fireworks factory in Maharashtra
January 28th, 2009 - 11:34 pm ICT by ANIBeed (Maharashtra), Jan.28 (ANI): At least 10 persons are feared to have died, including women and children, and many others seriously injured in a blast that took place in a cracker factory in Ratnagiri Village of Maharashtras Beed district on Wednesday.
As many as 30-35 workers were in the factory during the blast with many of them reported missing. The blast took place in a factory at around 2:00 pm when one corner of the place caught fire, sources said. Sheikh Salim and Sheikh Shahnoor are the owners of the factory.
Police had reached the spot and further details were awaited. (ANI)
