Tamil Nadu: 10 dead as school-van falls into pond
December 3rd, 2009 - 7:21 pm ICT by ANINagapattinam (Tamil Nadu), Dec 3 (ANI): Nine school students and a teacher got drowned here today morning, when their school van fell into a pond near Vedaranyam in Nagapattinam district.
Two teachers and twenty-five students were inside the school van, when the mishap took place.
The State Government has announced a compensation of fifty thousand rupees to the families of all those who lost their lives in the accident. (ANI)
