New Delhi, Dec 27 (ANI): Expressing shock and grief over the assassination of former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader L K Advani today said that the kind of Talibanisation of Pakistan is taking place is a threat to Indian security also.
The death of Bhutto, a “tall leader”, has come as a shock, Advani said, adding that she had fallen victim to a terrorist attack.
“The tall leader, who has been struggling for years to see the restoration of democracy in Pakistan, has fallen victim to a terrorist attack,” he said. “I have a feeling that the kind of Talibanisation of Pakistan is taking place, it is a threat to India security also,” he said.
Meanwhile, former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee expressed shock and grief over Bhutto’s untimely death.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairperson Bhutto, 54, was assassinated on Thursday during a party rally in Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Bagh area. She was shot at point blank range by two attackers in the head and the neck. The attack was immediately followed by a suicide bomb attack that claimed the lives of 20 other people. (ANI)
