Tableau artists, tribal guests call on Vice President Ansari
January 27th, 2011 - 8:23 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, Jan 27 (ANI): The tableau artists and tribal guests, who participated in the 62nd Republic Day parade on Wednesday called on Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari here today.
They presented a colourful display of the folk dances of the different parts of India at the lawns of the Vice President’s house.
Vice President Ansari interacted with these artists groups and encouraged their morale.
These artists performed their special dances viz. artists from Maharashtra performed lawni dance, Jammu and Kashmir artists performed bhand folk dance, Madhya Pradesh artists performed bhagoria dance, Odisha artists performed odishi dance, Assam artists performed gayan-bayan dance and Tripura artists performed lebang boomani dance on the occasion.
