Suspected militant arrested in Manipur
September 19th, 2010 - 1:29 pm ICT by ANIImphal, Sep 19 (ANI): Manipur Police have arrested a suspected militant of the Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF), who was allegedly involved in the recent killing of migrant labourers in the state.
The militant N. Naoba was snared during a combing operation in Singjamei Naorem leikai area of Imphal on Friday.
Imphal Police had earlier arrested self-styled second lieutenant Phanjoubam Abung Meitei.
Additional Superintendent of Police A. K. Jhalajit Singh said security personnel have been deployed in various localities to further strengthen their foothold in the region. (ANI)
