Sri Lankan Foreign Minister meets Pranab MukherjeeJune 17th, 2008 - 12:13 am ICT by ANI
New Delhi, June 16 (ANI): Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollogama met Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee here today to apprise him about the security situation in Sri Lanka in the wake of recent LTTE ( Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam ) attacks.
Bogollagama arrived here last night.
Later in the day Bogollogama is slated to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to discuss recent developments in his country and issues of bilateral cooperation.
Bogollagama will also extend a formal invitation to the Prime Minister for the 15th Summit of the heads of state and government of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) to be held in August at Colombo, the Sri Lankan capital.
During the Summit Manmohan Singh will hand over the SAARC chair to Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa. (ANI)
