Special prayers for Vajpayee in Bhopal

Bhopal, Feb.4 (ANI): Special prayers have been conducted in Madhya Pradesh for the well-being of the ailing former prime minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Atal Behari Vajpayee on Wednesday.

Vajpayee was admitted to the premier All India Institute of Medical Sciences in the national capital after complaining chest pain on Tuesday (Feb.3).

Activists of BJP in Bhopal city performed fire ritual and prayed for Vajpayee’’s recovery from illness and long life.

“In Hindu religion it is said whenever there is any problem or difficulty, Yajna can help. Thus, we are offering prayers so that Atalji recovers well and returns soon. We wish that he comes back and gets involved in the political developments of the country again. And we have also prayed that love of crores of people for him remains intact. And we have today prayed for his good health,” said Anil Aggarwal, a BJP leader.

The BJP stalwart Vajpayee despite age has millions of admirers, including politicians beyond party affiliations, who hold him in high esteem for his oratory skills and being a seasoned politician in Indian politics. (ANI)
