Sonia undertakes aerial survey of flood-hit districts of Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad, Oct 5 (ANI): Congress President Sonia Gandhi today undertook an aerial survey of the flood-affected Kurnool and Mahabubnagar districts of Andhra Pradesh.
Sonia Gandhi was accompanied by State Chief Minister K Rosaiah and State Congress President D Srinivas.
Though the flood situation is improving in Kurnool and Mahaboobnagar, but hundreds of villages in Krishna, Guntur and Nalgonda are still inundated.
The State Government has announced an exgratia of one lakh rupees to the families of victims and immediate assistance in cash and kind to the families who lost their homes.
Heavy rains have also lashed the districts in Konkan and southern Maharashtra.(ANI)
