Sonia Gandhi to lay foundation stone of Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Aizawl

Aizawl (Mizoram), Mar 3 (ANI): Congress President Sonia Gandhi will on Saturday (March 6) lay the foundation stone of the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Aizawl.
Mizoram Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Zodintluanga confirmed the news today saying that the stadium that would be built here would be the first full-fledged stadium in the state.
The construction of the stadium at Mualpui area inside the headquarters of the third battalion of the Mizoram Armed Police (MAP) began after 12th Finance Commission granted Rs 25 crore for the project, he added.
Sonia Gandhi is expected to return to New Delhi the same day. (ANI)
