New Delhi, Jan 15 (ANI): In her first public appearance after a brief illness, Congress President Sonia Gandhi looked hale and hearty at the Army Day reception hosted by Army Chief General Deepak Kapoor at the Army House today.
During her over 30-minute stay at the Army house, Sonia was seen in conversation with the President Pratibha Patil, Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil Defence Minister A.K. Antony, Opposition Leader LK Advani, Service Chiefs and other dignitaries.
She was seen sitting and having a chat with Advani for over five minutes.
After nearly a weeklong hospitalisation, Sonia was discharged from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on January 6.
Sonia, 61, was admitted to the hospital after she complained of breathing problem on the New Year’s Eve. She was diagnosed with chest infection. (ANI)
