Soldier injured, gun battle rages in Kashmir
November 25th, 2010 - 4:05 pm ICT by IANSJammu, Nov 25 (IANS) A soldier was injured in a gun battle with militants that continues in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir Thursday, police said.
The gun fight started when a patrol party of the Indian army was ambushed by militants in Morah area Thursday. The injured soldier has been shifted to military hospital, Surankote, police said.
Police and army personnel have laid a cordon around the suspected militant hideout from where the firing originated. Intermittent exchange of fire is on between the militants and soldiers
