Shoaib Malik’s family arrives in India for his wedding
April 8th, 2010 - 1:55 pm ICT by ANIHyderabad, Apr 8 (ANI): Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik’s family arrived in Hyderabad from Lahore for his wedding with Indian tennis star Sania Mirza.
Shoaib’s family including his mother Sultana Farooq, brother Adeel Malik, sister Shazia Imran, sister Sadaf Malik, nephew Mamoon Imran and a niece Zainab Imran have arrived here for the much anticipated wedding.
Malik divorced his first wife Ayesha Siddiqui on Wednesday after she had earlier claimed that they had both got married in 2002.
Shoaib signed the talaq nama (divorce papers) after community leaders said the public splashing and scrutiny of the episode had brought a bad name to the community. The police complaint against Shoaib was taken back and it was agreed that the cricketer would pay a maintenance amount of Rs.15, 000 to Ayesha as per Islamic lawShoaib’s marriage to Sania is expected to now take place as scheduled on April 15 in Hyderabad.
