Mumbai, Feb 18 (ANI): Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar today visited the famous Haji Ali shrine here, and offered prayer for the victory of his team and his country.
While talking to mediapersons, Shoaib said, I came here as my attendance was due. I wish to come here everyday and I hope that I am stationed in this city for IPL.
I prayed for the stability of my country and all humanity. May god keep the world safe for all of us,” he added.
Shoaib had been dropped from Pakistan’s five-match one-day series against Zimbabwe in January over fitness concerns.
Shoaib is in the city to take part in bidding for players for the DLF Indian Premier League Twenty20 championship, which will take place here on February 20. (ANI)
