Shivraj Patil administers National Integration Pledge
November 19th, 2007 - 2:05 pm ICT by adminNew Delhi, Nov.19 (ANI): Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil today administered the National Integration Pledge to officers and staff of the ministry in connection with the Quami Ekta Week.
The Week is observed every year from November 19 to 25 to foster a spirit of patriotism, communal harmony and national integration.
The National Foundation for Communal Harmony, an autonomous body under the ministry, is observing the Communal Harmony Week to coincide with the Quami Ekta Week.
The foundation has been set up to raise funds for the rehabilitation of child victims of communal, caste or ethnic violence and for promotion of communal harmony, national integration and fraternity. (ANI)
