Seventeen killed in Bihar road mishap
June 26th, 2010 - 5:11 pm ICT by ANIPatna, June 26 (ANI): At least seventeen people were killed and 25 others injured when an overcrowded bus collided head-on with a speeding truck near Chenaki More, around 30 km from Patna on Saturday.
According to sources, the incident took place when the driver of the bus lost control over the vehicle.
All the injured have been admitted to Patna Medical College hospital, Dhanarua and Masaurhi government hospitals.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced an ex-gratia of Rs 50,000 to the next of kin of the deceased. (ANI)
