Security tightened along border areas of Bihar, Jharkhand to curtail Maoist menace
November 15th, 2010 - 10:09 pm ICT by ANIGaya(Bihar), Nov.15 (ANI): In a bid to curtail the increasing Maoist menace in the region, security has been tightened along the border areas of Bihar and Jharkhand.
Bihar Police and paramilitary force launched a joint combing operation to curtail the increasing Maoists in threat the region.
The security forces have launched an extensive search operation and destroyed landmines laid down by the rebel cadres in Bihar’s Gaya District
Several paramilitary personnel, armed with special gadgets, undertook the operation to identify the dangerous zones.
Police officials also kept a constant vigil on the entry and exit points along the areas bordering the Jharkhand and Bihar. (ANI)
