Security forces arrest two Naxals in Jharkhand
June 10th, 2010 - 3:05 pm ICT by ANIKhunti (Jharkhand), June 10 (ANI): Security forces have arrested two Naxalites including a hardcore activist in Jharkhand’s Khunti District.
The arrests took on Wednesday night.
One of the arrested Naxals Chaitan Munda alias Langra was wanted in the killing of Deputy Superintendent of Police Bundu Pramod Kumar.
Kumar was killed in 2007.
Other arrested person was identified as Budhram Lohra.
Police also recovered over 100 detonators, a pistol and four rounds of cartridges from the arrested Naxalites.
Khunti District Superintendent of Police A K Rai said Langra was also wanted by the police in several other cases including a Rs five crore-bank robbery. (ANI)
