Security force sensitizes personnel of importance of media
March 19th, 2010 - 8:41 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )Siliguri (West Bengal), Mar 19 (ANI): The Shashastra Seema Bal (SSB) is conducting media interaction programmes for its personal at different centers in the country.
According to SSB Inspector General, Shyam Singh, the aim of the programme would be to train the SSB personnel in handling modern techniques for sharing information and to develop good media relations.
Singh said that the training is necessary, as the SSB personnel work in remote and interior areas along the Indo-Nepal border.
The personnel were being trained to use modern techniques to send photographs and other information to the SSB media centre, to assist the public relation officer to share the same with the media.
Apart from working to develop force -media relations the SSB publicity cell is also organizing various welfare activities along Indo-Nepal border.
These activities have become regular feature of SSB activities since its inception.
The SSB Publicity Officer R.K.Singh briefed the personnel in preparing media reports, details of achievements and activity reports. (ANI)
