Scarletts mother blames Indian authorities for blocking her visa

London, June 11 (ANI): Fiona MacKeown, the mother of the British teenager killed in Goa, has alleged that she is being blocked from returning to India.

They have put a block on my getting a visa and have referred my application to Delhi. They may not be refusing me my application but they are definitely blocking it. I applied for the visa on May 29 and its supposed to take 48 hours, MacKeown (43) said.

MacKeown is concerned the case against her daughter Scarlett Keelings killer could collapse after a test last week failed to find evidence of rape, The Telegraph reported.

She wants to return to India to collect her daughters organs, which were removed after a post-mortem.

Mackeown wants them to be analysed by scientists in the UK, and to reunite them with Scarletts body for burial.

Fifteen-year-old Scarlett was found dead on a beach in Goa on February 18.

Police originally said she had drowned after taking drugs, but changed their story after her mother complained, and a second autopsy concluded that she had been raped and murdered.

A bartender, Samson DSouza, 28, had been arrested on suspicion of raping and drugging Scarlett, before leaving her to die in shallow seawater.

A second man Placido Carvalho is accused of drugging her and facilitating her death. (ANI)
