Little children walked the ramp wearing green Santa Claus’s costume but some of them were spotted wearing Green Santa dress instead of traditional Red.
The colour green symbolised the environment and these children wished for a safer and green earth as a gift from Santa.
“We are wearing green coloured dress because we want to give the message of ‘Save Earth, Go Green’. The only thing we are demanding from Santa is to save our beautiful earth, as we believe that he will help us in doing this,” said Chhavi Rastogi, a student. In Siliguri, an innovative baker has raised contemporary issues through what he calls ‘cake work’, icing the cake with a map of India.
“Like the demand for smaller states is cropping up which is depicted in the models made out of cakes. Andhra Pradesh is shown intact in the model. Also the progress made in the industrial power, economic power, war power, nuclear power is shown through the artistry cake work,” said Biswaranjan Das. (ANI)
