Sadhvi Pragya gets judicial custody till Nov.17 in Malegaon blast case
November 3rd, 2008 - 7:35 pm ICT by ANINashik, Nov 03 (ANI): A Nashik court today sent Sadhvi Pragya Thakur to judicial custody till Novenber17 in connection with the Malegaon blast case. The Sadhvi fainted during the proceedings in the court.
The officials of the Mumbai ATS produced six accused of Malegaon blast including Pragya in Nashik court.
Earlier in the day, Mumbai ATS arrested three more people in Nashik and produced them in the court.
During the proceedings, Sadhvi stated that she would break silence only after getting the justice.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sainiks came out in large number in support of Sadhvi in front of the Nashik court today. They blocked the road to the court and voiced slogans.
Sadhvi Pragya, key accused in the Malegaon blast case, was earlier subjected to polygraphic, brain mapping and narco analysis tests.
Besides Sadhvi, two other accused - Shivnarayan Singh Kalsangram and Shyam Bhawarlal Sahu whose custody ended yesterday were also produced in the Nashik court today.
Mumbai ATS had supposedly asked for 14-day police custody for the accused.
The custody of other two accused - Ramesh Upadhyay and Sameer Kulkarni– will end on November 10. (ANI)
