RSS activists protest against Centre’s terror outfits’ remarks
November 10th, 2010 - 7:42 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, Nov 10 (ANI): The Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) activists staged a protest here on Wednesday after the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government at the Centre accused their faction of having links with various militant outfits.
Scores of RSS activists took part in the Dharna, where several leaders of the outfit later addressed the gathering.
The Central Government has accused the RSS of being involved in the 2007 Ajmer Dargah blast.
RSS spokesperson Ram Madhav said the Sangh is not against the investigation, but it is in opposition to the witch-hunting that has been launched by the Congress Government.
“We are not against the investigation. But the way the entire investigation has been used as a political conspiracy for defaming ‘the Sangh, especially the Congress party is using AICC as a dais to defame the Sangh family which is wrong,” said Ram Madhav.
“They don’t have courage to fight against terrorists and they are just trying to spoil the image of patriotic people of the country,” he added, while addressing the media persons.
Further claiming that the RSS activists are a patriotic lot, Ram Madhav mentioned that they would knock at the doors of the courts for fair justice.
“This is just a Dharna (sit-in protest), further we would knock the doors of court to fight a legal battle. The kind of conspiracy is going on would be answered in the court,” he added.
