RRoger Federer hopes to win five or ten more Wimbledon titlesJuly 3rd, 2008 - 3:16 pm ICT by ANI
London, July 3 (ANI): Roger Federer may be some steps away from winning the sixth Wimbledon title, but the five-time champion has already set his sights on the seventh and hopes to win the tournament for the next five or ten years.
The 26-year-old outclassed Mario Ancic to reach the semifinals and extend his grass-court winning streak to 64 matches on the first day of significant rain delays at the All England Club.
Riding his dominant serve and punishing forehand, Federer put on a masterful performance to beat Ancic 6-1, 7-5, 6-4 and move another step closer to becoming the second man in history to win Wimbledon six years in a row.
However, Federer is not just aiming for the sixth title, he has already planned to win the tournament for next five or ten years.
Of course I can think about a sixth title and then a seventh. Ill have a chance to win this tournament for the next five or 10 years, The Sun quoted him, as saying.
I think my games made for grass. There will always be tough opponents but I have always found a way to win.
My dream is not only to win this year, but many more years to come. This is what its all about, he added. (ANI)
