- London, May 22 (ANI): Renowned singer-songwriter Rod Stewart is desperate to record a country music album.
The star has revealed that the reluctance of bosses at his record label J Records has been preventing his plans from materialising.
Everybody there is against that, which makes me want to do it even more, the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
Apparently, the idea didnt test well, whatever the f*** that means, he added.
The 63-year-old singer also said that he disliked the fact that J Records chairman Clive Davis does not share his vision.
I want to do records for my peace of mind. So when I do kick the bucket, I can say, I did that, he said.
Rod even revealed that he had turned down a new CD the company wanted him to record.
Clive Davis wanted a Christmas album but Im not into that so much, he said.
Ever since Rod has joined J Records, he has been a regular chart topper again around the world with his Great American Songbook albums of cover versions of standards. (ANI)
