New Delhi, Dec 18 (ANI): Union Minister of State Akhilesh Singh today expressed profound sorrow over demise of Rashtriya Janata Dal Rajya Sabha member Motiur Rehman.
Rehman died at his residence in Bihar’s Motihari district after suffering a massive heart attack. He was 58.
Rehman was a respected politician and his guidance would be sorely missed, Singh said in his condolence message, adding, Rehmans political career was dedicated for the upliftment of poor and needy.
Rahman was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 2005. He is survived by wife, four daughters and two sons.
Meanwhile, Railway minister Lalu Prasad, his wife Rabri Devi have also condoled the untimely demise of Rehman.
“It is a big political and personal loss for us. Rehman was a leader totally dedicated to the uplift of the depressed and downtrodden sections of the society,” they said in a condolence message. (ANI)
