Right-to-die Brit girl granted final wish dream Disney trip
November 19th, 2008 - 4:58 pm ICT by ANILondon, Nov 19 (ANI): The Brit girl, whos terminally ill has been granted her final wish of going to Disney world after she won the right to die after a hospital dropped its attempt to force her to have heart transplant.
Hannah Jones, 13, made an appeal to all doctors that she wanted to die with dignity, following which she has been granted her wish to travel to America along with her parents and three siblings.
Her dream was only made possible after an anonymous insurance company did the noble deed of providing cover, as her family feared her “dream” of going to Disney World had been trodden when attempts to secure medical insurance were refused.
Hannah was delighted to see her dream coming true after the anonymous British insurance company agreed to provide cover, worth an estimated 5million pounds.
“I am overwhelmed. I absolutely love Disney and watch all of the films. To be able to go and see them is a dream come true, The Telegraph quoted Hannah, as saying at her home in Marden, Herefordshire.
“The week away from our routine of doctors” appointments and hospitals will be a wonderful distraction for us. We will feel like a normal family for a while, she added.
Andrew Jones, Hannahs father, said: “I can”t thank everyone who has offered to help enough. Our main aim was to find someone who could insure our little girl for her dream holiday. My wife and I are thrilled that we have been able to do this and now we cannot wait to see the smile on her face.
Hannah, who suffered heart failure as a result of treatment for leukaemia, will be one of the 40 children flying to Orlando, accompanied by a team of paramedics and doctors, with the charity, Caudwell Children, on Dec 1. (ANI)
