Rane claims to benefit from Shiv Sena-MNS squabble

Uddhav Thackeray Mumbai, Oct 4(ANI): Senior Congress leader Narayan Rane on Sunday said that his party would benefit from the political squabble between Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Navnirmana Sena in Maharashtra.

Highlighting the recent verbal duels between Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and MNS supremo Raj Thackeray, Rane said that the dispute between the two brothers had weakened the prospects of both the parties in the upcoming state polls.

“The Marathi people prefer Congress to Raj or Uddhav Thackeray. What is wrong in that? We are benefiting because of the fight between the two brothers,” Rane said.

The Congress-NCP alliance, which is taking on the opposition coalition of the Shiv Sena and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state, is hoping for a hat-trick in assembly elections scheduled on October 13. (ANI)
