The incident occurred when Muthalik was participating in function organised by a private news channel related to Valentine’s Day.
Speaking to ANI, just after the attack Muthalik said:” That was a programme organised by a private news channel. But some Congress workers attacked me.”
However, Muthalik has assured that his party will not resort to hooliganism in reaction to such an incident or Valentine’s Day.
“Ram Sene will not take law into hand while protesting against Valentine’s Day. We will protest peacefully,” Muthalik added.
Muthalik filed a complaint with the police against the hoodlums.
Moreover, following the incident, Sri Ram Sene has given a call for State wide shutdown in protest against the incident.
Muthalik and his party Sriram Sene drew media attention and criticism after the party’s activists attacked a pub in Mangalore. (ANI)
