Rahul Gandhi files nomination from Amethi

Amethi, Apr 4 (ANI): Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi on Saturday filed his nomination papers from Amethi parliamentary constituency for the Lok Sabha elections.Rahul was accompanied by his mother Sonia Gandhi, party candidate from Sultanpur Dr. Sanjay Singh and close family friend Captain Satish Sharma.
UPCC president Reeta Bahuguna Joshi was already present at the collectorate.
Rahul’s sister Priyanka Vadra and his brother-in-law Robert Vadra was not present because of death of Vadra’s father on Friday.Congress president Sonia Gandhi will file her nomination papers for Rae Bareilly constituency on April 6.
The elections in Uttar Pradesh will be held in five phases: April 16, 23, 30 and May 7 and May 13. (ANI)
