Sitapur (Uttar Pradesh), Dec 8 (ANI): Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi courted a controversy by asking the pilot of his helicopter to land in poor light at Sitapur here last evening.
State Congress chief Rita Bahugana expressed her concerns over this act.
The landing appears to be a violation of the air safety guidelines issued by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
In reply, Rahul Gandhi said that he had not violated the guidelines issued by the DGCA and did not impose any pressure on the pilot to land the helicopter.
The pilot did what he felt good at that point of time. The Congress General Secretary said Rita Bahugana was not a pilot and therefore could have avoided commenting on the issue. (ANI)
