Aizawl, Feb 14 (ANI): Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi on Monday asked the younger generation to actively take part in politics, as youths comprised over 40 percent of India’s population.
Addressing the Mizoram University students at Tanhril near Aizawl, Gandhi said being born and brought up in a political family, he was of the view that politicians should be in politics for the upliftment of the people.
“I believe in listening (and then) implementing. I believe that the youth, comprising more than 40 per cent of our population should come into politics,” he said.
The Gandhi scion later inaugurated a girls’ hostel inside the Mizoram University campus. (ANI)
