Abohar, Oct.12 (A0NI): Radio Pakistan in its latest Punjabi Darbar programme has chosen to allege that the Indian judiciary is pro-Hindu and anti-minorities.

The allegations by the Radio Pakistan is seen by the people along the border as untrue, as they know that all citizens of India have been given the Right to Equality as a fundamental right under the Constitution of India and the judiciary cannot have any bias.

“India is a democratic country and people here have got the right to put forth their views. Everybody has been given equal status. If one commits any crime, whether he is Muslim, Hindu, Sikh or a Christian, he is punished equally,” said Firoz Khan, Chairman of the Muslim Intzamia Committee in Abohar.

“There is no pressure on anybody. Pakistan should look at itself first where Muslims are attacking Muslims but nothing like that is happening in India. Muslims are living here happily for about 30-40 years. Over 2,500 Muslims are working here in Abohar ,” Khan added.

“Judiciary in India believes in equal justice. There is no discrimination. I can say with my own experience that judiciary takes every action according to law,” said sub-divisional Magistrate (Retired), B. L. Sikka in Abohar.

Broadcasters of the Radio Pakistan need to know that all Indian citizens are treated equally and have the right to propagate and practice their religion under the Constitution.

The administration promotes secularism and equality in all respects; any deviation can be challenged in courts.

Radio Pakistan, people in the border areas feel, should try to focus on the condition of minorities in Pakistan, who are facing problems caused by a political system plagued by corruption and fundamentalism. (ANI)
