Radio Pakistan now worried about tribals in India
December 24th, 2009 - 6:32 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )Bathinda, Dec.24 (ANI): Shifting its focus from Punjab and Sikhs, the Punjabi Durbar programme of Radio Pakistan is now focussed on welfare of tribals in India. The Pakistan Radio has diagnosed that the rise of Naxalism in parts of India has been the result of Indian government not giving equal rights to tribals.
Educationists like R C Juneja feel that India has to find an answer to the spread of Naxalism, but it has to worry more about terrorism, and terrorist attacks promoted by elements in Pakistan. It has been proved beyond doubt that the terror attack in Mumbai was organised and directed from Pakistan, but no action has been taken against the organisers who masterminded the attacks.
Radio Pakistan is developing a soft corner for tribals and is eager to raise their concern even when within Pakistan atrocities are committed against the minority Sikhs. There are routine quarrels between the Shias and Sunnis.
The condemnable treatment of Sikh families who are subjected to ‘jazia’ (tax on non-Muslims) and being pushed from their place of residence out of the Swat Valley failed to unruffled any feather in Pakistan Government establishment.
The terrorists have already become a nuisance for Pakistan. Today, Pakistan is faced with a big political instability and fundamentalism.
Pakistan is at the crossroad following political instability, terrorism, and presence of foreign troops; the country has become a haven for extremists and terrorists. It is odd that Pakistan is not worried about its minorities, but keeping harping on the condition of poor people and tribals in India. (ANI)
