Punjab State Assembly witnesses scuffle between Akali and Congress MLAs

Ludhiana, Dec.8 (ANI): Legislators of ruling Akali Dal and the opposition Congress party got into scuffle with each other in the State assembly of Punjab over the racial violence in Ludhiana city.
It all started when some Congress legislators moved towards Deputy Chief Minister and State’s Home Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal when he was replying to a Call Attention Motion on the State’s law and order situation.
Authorities were forced to impose curfew in Ludhiana following violent protests by sundry Sikh fora against the holding of a public discourse by a controversial religious cult leader.
In context of these violent incidents, Prakash Singh Badal chief of Punjab was confronted by the opposition legislators belonging to Congress on the floor of the House while the ruling Akali Dal legislators rushed and formed a ring around him.
Consequently, a scuffle ensued between the warring legislators. Later, leader of the opposition and former chief of Punjab Rajinder Kaur Bhattal staged a protest along with her fellow legislators outside the Assembly.
Bhattal claimed that the Speaker of the Assembly should have listened to them instead of Prakash Singh Badal. Further, she contended that Congress legislators were forced out of the assembly in the scuffle.
“Whatever happened in Punjab, Jalandhar and Ludhiana, this must stop. Speaker should have listened to us instead of Prakash Singh Badal (state chief). The legislators of Akali Dal entered into a scuffle with the Congress legislators and forced us out of the Assembly,” said Rajinder Kaur Bhattal.
However, chief of Punjab Prakash Singh Badal termed the incidents as unfortunate.
“The incident was unfortunate. Although earlier also Congress people have created uproar in the assembly, this is for the first time that they started up with violence,” said Prakash Singh Badal.
Sikh organisations had taken to streets on Saturday (December 05) to protest the holding of a public discourse by controversial religious leader Ashutosh Maharaj, who has not found favour with Sikh groups for allegedly preaching against their religion.
The protestors had pelted stones and damaged public property, forcing police officials to use teargas and open fire to disperse the crowd. Many protestors had got injured in the violence.
Radical group leaders like Bhai Mohkam Singh, Convenor of Khalsa Action Committee, Kanwarpal Singh Bittu of Dal Khalsa, Baljit Singh Daduwal, Ranjit Singh, and Jasbir Singh Rode were among those who had led the protests.
Although the discourse was supposed to be held over two days - December 5 and 6 - the violent clashes prompted the district administration to cancel the permission granted to hold the conference.
Many Sikh organisations, including the radical Dal Khalsa, said that the discourse was backed by the state government and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Swami Ashutosh Maharaj heads an organisation named Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan (DJSS).
Reportedly Ashutosh Maharaj’s promotion of Hindu tenets has found favour with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
Swami Ashutosh Maharaj has been on the hit list of the Sikhs since the eighties, after he allegedly spoke against the Sikh gurus and their religious text, the Guru Granth Sahib. (ANI)

Both versions were contradictory as being reported as under. What were the truth and the conspiracy?
The truth must be brought on surface to amend the party at fault and guilty.
Can Ashutosh Maharaj or the Sikhs to remove the misunderstanding?

“Has it confirmed that Ashutosh Maharaj posing himself to be a reincarnation of Guru Nanak or only the Sikhs claim?
If only the Sikhs claim without confirming it, then, it could be a gossip.
If Ashutosh Maharaj himself was openly confirming it and claiming so, then, it should to be taken seriously that as to why the migrant, intentionally and deliberately, was suggesting irritatingly to Sikhs to adopt him as their first Guru, Guru Nanak?”

Campaign against Ashutosh Maharaj, not a religious battle between Sikhs & Hindus
……“We are against Ashutosh as his followers popularise him as a reincarnation of Guru Nanak Dev, Lord Rama and Jesus Christ. We cannot buy this,” said Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma, chief of Damdami Taksal, a Sikh organisation.
Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma added the bone of contention among them was that he used to say in his discourses that the Sikhs were not the real Khalsa.
“Ashutosh Maharaj claims himself to be Khalsa. We have a video footage to prove the allegations against him.”…..

“Why to talk of only the covert operations policy for India in Kashmir?
It is the inhuman national policy-strategy in India”
By Balbir Singh Sooch
Covert operations in Kashmir
It has remained and will continue to remain a controversial instrument of state policy for India in Kashmir
OPERATIVE PART
1. Killing of Dr. Guroo: A noble soul and a cardiac surgeon of repute, Dr. Guroo had become an eyesore in the eyes of Indian intelligence agencies. His only fault was to highlight gross violations of human rights of Kashmiris before various international forums. Miffed by his audacious act, Indian security apparatus, comprising of intelligence agencies and the then DG police, formulated a well devised plan to eliminate him using the services of a renegade militant, Zulqar Nain, in the process. Dr. Guroo was abducted from Soura only to be found murdered in cold blood the next day. This episode has been revealed by none other than the ex-chief information Commissioner of India, Wajahat Habibullah, succinctly in his book “My Kashmir” published in 2008.
2. The other episode is massacre of thirty six innocent Sikhs in Chittisinghpora, district Islamabad on the eve of Bill Clinton’s visit to India. The Kashmir freedom movement had to be maligned and labelled as fundamentalist Islamist misadventure and what better opportunity to prove this than the visit of American President to India. India, as usual unleashed a mass disinformation campaign attributing this massacre to Kashmiri Militants. Some time later five innocent persons were caught and killed by Indian Army labelling them as perpetrators of Chittisingpore Massacre. Advani, the then Union Home Minister, came to Kashmir to pat the back of the Army officer responsible for the prize catch. How these persons later turned to be innocent civilians is well known to all.
Speaking in the context of this massacre, Look what Farooq Abdullah had to state on Sunday, the 17th February 2008 in his address at an annual convention of the Kashmir Sikh Sangat (KSS) in Jammu.
“There were some people who tried to scuttle the investigations. Some investigators were even threatened. I want to reveal the conspiracy behind the massacre, but as I am under an oath, I cannot do so,”
3. These episodes beg another important question. Both these worthies hold important positions in the political and administrative set-up of Govt. of India. Mr. Wajahat Habibullah is due to become Chief information Commissioner of J&K which post requires him to reveal information than concealing which he has unfortunately done in case of Dr. Guroo’s murder for at least fifteen long years. The minimum he can do is to lodge an FIR against the persons responsible for conspiracy to murder a person of national and international fame. Similarly Dr. Farooq Abdullah has held important constitutional posts in the past and is presently Union Minister for Renewable resources and Energy. He is under an obligation to spell out the truth and identify the culprits of Chittisingpora massacre so that they can be tried under the law of land. In case of failure to do so, their positions are not going to inspire any confidence among the general public and let these worthies also remember that

“SIKH INSAAF LEHAR” Seems Only Politics And An Eyewash Tactics
Balbir Singh Sooch, Advocate, Ludhiana
When in the demanded inquiry with a biased mind and the conclusion expected was also already given, “that Punjab Government should be dismissed and fresh elections should be held as present government has lost the confidence of the people of the state of Punjab”, then, it means there is no further scope left, what for, the inquiry be held in this case”?
In the light of above observation, “SIKH INSAAF LEHAR” to highlight the injustice seems nothing but only a demand to bring the another party in power, rest to say that ‘the injustice done to Sikhs and the failure of the successive governments to protect the interests of Sikhs and Sikhism from Anti-Sikh elements’ were only politics and an eyewash tactics being played by such pressure group(s), politically aligned to some party of their liking.
Such demands were never raised impartially that’s why serving no purpose to protect the interests of Sikhs and Sikhism from Anti-Sikh elements as alleged.
The Sikh Vichar Manch was of the view that the Attorney Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, Legal Advisor Sikhs For Justice personally did not apply his own mind while preparing the press release-note, minus sincerity, for demanding the high level judicial inquiry by a sitting High Court Judge to be conducted into the December 5 Ludhiana incident in which one (INNOCENT SHAHEED BHAI) DARSHAN SINGH (Boparai Lohara) was killed and many Sikhs were injured by the firing of the Punjab Police.
