Protests at Borivali Station brings Western Railways to a haltFebruary 4th, 2009 - 2:31 pm ICT by admin
Protesters got on the tracks at Borivali Station today in a protest against poor railway services in the Western sector.
The protest apparently started after a train set to depart at 9:10 am was canceled.
Thousands of protesters are today took to the tracks to express their frustration against the Western Railways. The protest affects 12 lakh people as per CNN-IBN.
Out of the Trains arriving Mumbai today, only 3 trains are held up.
Amoung other stations affected are Naigaon, Dahisar, Vasi Road, Mira Road, Nala Sopara.
Since 9:25 am today, no train has been able to leave Borivali station today.
The current status : No trains would be able to leave Borivali, negotiations with the protesters are on.
