Prime Minister to convene Union Cabinet meet todayMay 18th, 2009 - 11:29 am ICT by ANI
New Delhi, May 18 (ANI): Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will convene a meeting of the Union Cabinet in the national capital on Monday morning.
The main agenda of the meeting will be to tender resignation of Dr. Singh council of ministers to President Pratibha Devisingh Patil.
Later, Dr. Singh is expected to meet the President to submit resignation facilitating the formation of a new government at the Centre.
Meanwhile, President Patil will host a dinner to the members of the outgoing Cabinet.
On Sunday, a crucial meet of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) was called to deliberate on government formation and the possible support to the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) from like-minded parties. (ANI)
