Prez bodyguards accused in Buddha Jayanti Park gang rape case
August 17th, 2009 - 7:22 pm ICT by IBNS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Aug 17 (IBNS) A city court Monday convicted four members of President’s Bodygurads (PBG) in the Buddha Jayanti Park gang rape case of 2003.
The court found Harpreet Singh and Satyender Singh guilty of raping a 17-year-old Delhi University student, while Kuldeep Singh and Manish Kumar have been held for abduction and conspiracy.
The victim had gone to the Buddha Jayanti Park (near Rashtrapati Bhavan) with a friend on October 6, 2003, when Harpreet and Satyender raped her, while Kuldeep and Manish kept gurad.
The quantum of sentence against the accused will be announced on August 22.
