President Patil visits forward areas in Rajouri-Poonch border districts

Rajouri/Poonch, Oct 9 (ANI): President Pratibha Patil on Friday visited the forward areas of the Line of Control (LoC) in the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to officials, President Patil was accompanied by state Governor N N Vohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to review the security situation along the border.
Later, she moved to a forward post and interacted with soldiers.
The President is also scheduled to have “bara khana” with soldiers in Rajouri later in the day.
During her visit, she will meet Rukhsana, who had killed a top Pakistani militant belonging to Lashker-e-Toiba and injured another at Kalsian village in Rajouri district on the night of September 27. (ANI)
