President Patil meets students of her Alma Mater

New Delhi, Dec 18 (ANI): President Pratibha Patil met a group of students from her alma mater, the Government Law College Mumbai, at Rashtrapati Bhavan today.
During the interaction, the President sought to know why nearly half the group members were women.
The women students of the college informed the President that as an alumnus of the college she has been an inspiration for women wanting to take up a career in law.
The President was also further informed that an increasing number of women are wanting to take-up the profession of law, so that they can help women in need of legal aid, especially in areas which are sensitive. (ANI)
