President Patil leaves for Tawang in Arunachal

Tawang, Apr 2 (ANI): President Pratibha Patil on Thursday left for Tawang, the district headquarters located at 9000 feet above sea level near Sino-India border.
During her visit, she will visit the 450-year-old Tawang monastery, the second largest in Asia.
The President, who left Itanagar, was accompanied by Governor General (Retd.) J J Singh.
Later, President Patil will visit troops at Kibithu and address a Sainik Sammelan.
Before returning to New Delhi, President Patil will attend the closing session of the diamond jubilee of the Gauhati High Court at Guwahati on April 4. (ANI)
