Police seize spurious clarified butter in Gwalior
September 12th, 2009 - 10:41 pm ICT by ANIGwalior, Sep 12 (ANI): Police raided a factory in Gwalior and seized large quantities of lose and packaged clarified butter on Saturday.
“Yesterday we received information about a factory producing spurious clarified butter. Today we raided the premises along with food and revenue department (officials) and have seized spurious clarified butter in large quantity. Apart from that we have also seized packaging materials in large number,” Gulab Singh, In-charge of Gwalior police station.
Police recovered 5 quintals of lose ghee (clarified butter) and three quintal of packaged ghee. They said they found packaging materials with brand names of five companies producing ghee.
Police is yet to make any arrest in the case. (ANI)
