Police kill two Maoists, arrest six in Chhattisgarh
January 18th, 2011 - 8:25 pm ICT by ANIBijapur, Jan 18 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Police gunned down two Maoists and arrested six in Bijapur district on Tuesday.
Maoists started firing at a police team that was returning from a search operation, prompting retaliatory fire. Two Maoists were killed.
“After the gun-battle we have recovered a rifle, a tiffin bomb, a detonator, medicines and many other items of the Maoists,” said Rajendra Narayan Das, Superintendent of Police, Bijapur. (ANI)
