New Delhi, Apr 24 (ANI): The Prime Minister’s Office today termed as false the media reports that Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh contacted Pakistan Army chief Gen Parvez Kayani ten months ago.
“We have seen media reports quoting a British newspaper saying that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh contacted Pakistan Army chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani before the Mohali meeting between the two Prime Ministers. The report is false,” said Prime Minister’s Media Adviser Harish Khare.
A leading British Daily had on Saturday reported that the Indian Prime Minister had initiated secret talks with the Pakistan Army Chief through an unofficial envoy 10 months ago. (ANI)
