Karachi , Oct 13 (ANI): Expressing surprise over West Indies announcement of canceling the Pakistan tour, PCB chief Ejaz Butt has said that there was no such tour finalized with the Caribbeans.
There was no such proposed tour or commitment from the WICB and it was based on just hearsay, he said.
Look there was no proposed tour of West Indies coming to Pakistan for Tests. It was all based on hearsay. Nothing was definite because there was no commitment from the West Indies, The News quoted Butt as telling reporters in Lahore .
Interestingly, the paper said, the Boards chief operating officer Shafqat Naghmi, who has talked about sending an invitation to the West Indies to play two Tests in Pakistan or even in Abu Dhabi in November didnt attend the meeting.
Butt said that he had met with the officials to discuss with them the financial standing of the Board, so that they were aware of it.
We also discussed how we will work in the future. I can not go into the detail of their agenda which is very lengthy but there are many urgent matters that need to be taken up, he said and added I will go for whatever we can get, which is good for Pakistan . (ANI)
