Patil to release book on Indian Constitution
July 23rd, 2009 - 7:32 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, July 23 (ANI): President Pratibha Devisingh Patil will release a book titled “Constitution of India” authored by Dr. Adish C. Aggarwala at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday evening.
The book will be released in the presence of the Chief Justice of India, K.G.Balkrishnan, Union Law and Justice Minister Veerappa Moily, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs V.Narayanaswamy and Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
Chief Justice Balakrishnan has written the forward of the book and Moily has written the preface.
Aggarwala has been a high profile lawyer, writer and social activist. He was the president of the Supreme Court Bar Association. Other current involvements include: Chairman of All India Bar Association; Convener of Indian Council of Jurists; Chairman of India Legal Information Institute; Chairman of National Citizen’s Committee.
He has been Executive Council Member and General Council Member of National Law School of India University, Bangalore. He is also Academic Council Member of Chanakya National Law University. (ANI)
