Parts of northeastern states witness partial lunar eclipse
June 26th, 2010 - 8:04 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, June 26 (ANI): Parts of Northeastern India witnessed a partial lunar eclipse on Saturday as earth shadow covered the moon.
The eclipse is started at 2.27 p.m. and end at 7.50 p.m. and the partial phase lasted for 2 hour 43 minutes.
The visibility in India was at the end of the eclipse.
The ending of the eclipse can be visible in parts of northeastern states at the time of moonrise.
This would be the last eclipse in 2010 for India.
The initial phase of eclipse was visible from the central parts of South America, parts of the US, Canada and Arctic Ocean.
The final phase was visible at some parts of the Indian Ocean, northeast India, China, Mongolia and northeast part of Russia. (ANI)
